Looking for a super sourdough base and a killer selection of toppings? Then look no further than authentic Italian neighbourhood pizzeria, Zia Lucia who are providing takeaway grub to get us through the chaos of COVID-19. Working from home never tasted so good!
We stopped in last week before the entire hospitality industry was ordered to make final closures to business for the foreseeable future. Under such tough circumstances, we were happy to support this reputable city pizzeria.
Zia Lucia are remaining open for a limited takeaway service available on Deliveroo, so you can still get your fix whilst we ride the wave of isolation.
You’re spoilt for choice with meaty, veggie and vegan options; Keep it classic with a Margherita, and the option to add Burrata (no questions asked on that one); Go off-piste with the Andrea Pirlo, topped with Gorgonzola, Apple, Truffle and Olive sauce. Both winner’s in our books. The spicy Nduja number ain’t too bad either.
There are 4 bases to choose from. A Traditional dough for the nostalgic among us, the Gluten Free, the Wholemeal and the super evocative (their words, not ours) Vegetable Charcoal base that worked particularly well for the Andrea Pirlo.
Sides include Burrata three ways; simply served with olive oil and black pepper or meatier variations with spicy Salami or Parma Ham. Focaccia and Olives accompany them.
Booze and puds are also available at Zia Lucia through Deliveroo. They deliver to areas near their restaurants in Aldgate East, Hammersmith and Islington. Get ordering folks!
