When it comes to Valentines Day, London divides itself nicely into two clear packs. There’s the first who are valentines aficionados; fully equipped with heart shaped nipple tassels, a bath tub of rose petals and house ledges dangerously laced with as many of Pound Lands finest tea lights as they can carry home on the bus. The second group are not bothered… or at least thats what they say until about midday on the 14th when they realise that their partner has actually made no effort… at all.
Best keep both of these people happy… and feed them the food of love at The Richmond.
Chic enough to keep the anti-vally gangs gag reflexes under control and yet still cupid-friendly with gaudy decorations, The Richmond has something to satisfy everyones needs this valentines Day.
The set menu (of lourrrve) is said to kick off with a cheeky cocktail – provocatively dressed with string of pearls – which you can enjoy to the sounds of slow jams playing in the background.
The full menu for just £35 looks a little like this:
Cocktail on arrival (String of Pearls)
Followed by a Carlingford oyster
Starters
Pork Rillettes and Pickles
OR
Smoked Salmon & Beetroot with Horseradish
Mains
Gurnard, Leeks, Apple, Dill, Rattes Potatoes & Mussels
OR
Duck Breast with Red Cabbage Purée, Orange & Leg Pastilla
Whole Seabream, Clams, Borlotti Beans & Pistou to share (for 2)
Dessert
Burnt White Chocolate Mousse, Bitter Chocolate Ganache, Passion Fruit
Fill you date with love or just fill them with delicious food and cocktails – it is basically the same thing!
Happy valentines All!
