THE IVY CHELSEA GARDEN: A Narnia-inspired wonderland with Mr Tumnus set to make an appearance in time for Christmas

The Ivy Chelsea Garden has been transformed into a magical Narnia-themed wonderland, complete with the iconic Wardrobe and lamppost at the doorway, welcoming guests to step into an imaginative snowy landscape adorned with frosted florals and crystallised embellishments.

This festive season, local residents, Christmas shoppers and diners will be able to admire the spectacular display on the King’s Road including a canopy dripping in snow, ice and sparkling magic alongside a backdrop of snow-covered forest scenery across the façade.

The right-hand side of the doorway is themed around the ‘Gateway to the Snow Queen’s Garden’, whilst the left-hand side of the building is centred around the ‘Snow Queen’s Throne’.

On Saturday, 7 and Saturday, 21 December between 12pm-3pm, the Narnia wonderland will be brought further to life through a meet and greet experience with Mr Tumnus, the fictional faun from the Narnia series.

The Ivy Chelsea Garden has added two warming winter cocktails to its menu in celebration of its Christmas Narnia theme.

Guests with a sweet tooth might be drawn to the Eastern Promise (£9.50), made with a delicious blend of Crème de Violette, Bramble Gin Liqueur, Beefeater gin, and garnished with Turkish Delight and chocolate flakes.

While negroni-lovers can sip on the Narnia Negroni (£9.50) which features Sloe gin, Martini Rubino, Campari and a cinnamon syrup twist, decorated with a dry orange wedge and a cinnamon stick.

Other must-tries include a Mulled Cider with cinnamon, sugar and a chocolate bitters twist, plus a Roast Chestnut Julep that brings a bourbon-led Christmas kick to a cocktail classic.

Pair your cocktails with some warming winter nibbles, with favourites including the fried arborio rice balls with truffle cheese and the crispy courgette fries with lemon, chilli and mint yoghurt.

Pedro Carvalho, General Manager at The Ivy Chelsea Garden says: ‘We’re thrilled to bring one of the nation’s most loved Christmas classics to life with a show-stopping Narnia themed installation on the King’s Road this Christmas.

‘We look forward to inviting guests to join us in spreading the festive cheer with delectable food and cocktail creations in a cosy, wintery setting.’

The Ivy Chelsea Garden is located at 197 King’s Road, London SW3 5ED
