I was Lucky to catch the right day with a few clouds and plenty of sun and this made walking down the promenade along the Thames river from London Bridge quite a sightseeing tour.
The Blue Print Café is Located on the first floor, overlooking the Thames and next to Tower Bridge. The restaurant team were vibrant, young and friendly, accommodating us with prime seats. We were situated nearby the terrace of the restaurant, overlooking the riverside skylines, our table had a couple of binoculars available to focus on the view and what ever else caught your sight to stare.
I sampled the seasonable menu with the chefs top spring dishes on board. Stylish cutlery and exquisite furniture is a standard here. A bunch of colourful plates hovered towards the table we where sitting on. I could hardly contain my desire to try the flavour of these florid plates. Memories came up from the times when I gave my dog Oscar a bone. At this point I must have had the very same face expressions, priceless!!!!
Back to the starters, I highly recommended the gorgeous Wester Ross salmon tartar with a striking sesame dressing and very fine crisp salmon skin. Also the Pork terrine with spiced pineapple and crunchy popcorn like pork crackling is a superbly crisp and full starter.
Craving for more, there is no time to waste…Mains incoming!!!
My favourite dish must be the Goosnargh Duck with purple sprouting broccoli and hazelnut crumble. A tasty and seductive stunner. Who ever likes fish please also try the Stone bass, savoy cabbage shallot puree and bass bacon. It was delicate and appetizing.
For desert we have a magical Mascarpone parfait, lemon curd and pistachio cherry crumble. Magical Carrot Cake and brown butter ice cream, please try the carrot cake, that butter sauce is amazing, light and sweet. To die for.
We spoke to the chef Martyn Moody and ask him. What was the last thing that made you stop and stare?
Martyn Moody “ I was staring at a blossoming fig tree standing in the middle of a court yard just behind Liverpool Street.”
