Mr Fogg’s – the Mayfair bar / reproduction house of the fictional, eccentric explorer Phileas Fogg – will temporarily be the home of a Spanish fiesta, adding to all the other curios that the Jules Verne’s famous character has brought back from his adventures around the world.
Themed on the Pamplona Festival, but thankfully without live bulls to gore guests, the party will feature cocktails created but costumed matadors, Spanish singing by a Bilbao band, tapas and dancing to “toe tapping torro the pops tunes” – so grab your castanets and get on down from 6pm (if you’d like to reserve a table in the explorer’s drawing room then email email@example.com )
The Victorian themed Mr Fogg’s is brought to you by Inception Group who are responsible for several other popular and eccentric hangouts including the Chelsea speakeasy Barts, 80’s themed nightclub, Maggie’s and the acclaimed “Englishman’s Italian,” Bunga Bunga. Most recently they’ve launched Disco, an underground boite in Soho based on the disco movement that took place in 1970s Manhattan and Cocobananas, a nightclub based on a Brazilian beach party.
