If you’re looking for a tasting menu to remember, then the secret multi-course feast at Nobu promises to leave a lasting memory.
We recently checked into Nobu Marbella, which is a dreamy venue set amid tropical foliage in the ultra-luxe Puente Romano resort.
This year, the dining area was extended to cater to more guests and it makes for a spectacular space.
The interiors, in true Nobu style, have a minimalist yet cosy feel, with the use of natural woods, foliage and soft lighting.
Tables face a terrace area which opens out on to an inner courtyard, which comes a bustling spot come the evening as the party begins to build.
The restaurant and accompanying 81-room Nobu hotel opened in 2018, making it the company’s second in Spain, thanks to collaboration head chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and film producer Meir Teper.
If you’re thinking of heading to this spot, be sure to book in advance, as there are waiting lists during the peak seasons and its busy from the weekends right through the week.
If you’ve never been to Nobu, then I highly recommend the omakase menu, which is not listed and only available on request.
It comes in at just over €100 per person, but it is well worth it and it certainly isn’t your average white plate tasting menu, with six bountiful dishes to keep your chopsticks busy.
If you’re a cocktail-lover, there’s a selection of exotic mixes with the a Lychee Martini being a house favourite, and the sommelier will be more than happy to recommend a fine wine.
One tip: Be sure to be hungry before you go!
Here we run through a selection of dishes you can expect…

Yellowtail Sashimi Jalapeno

Toro, Sea Bass, Shrimp, Scallop and Miso Soup

Sashimi Salad with Matsuhisa Dressing
