So it seems a cardigan just isn’t cutting it any more. Its time we pulled in the big boys: that python of a scarf, that can do three laps of your neck (and very possibly the circumference of the earth too) and that duck down PU coat that if you crouched down and tucked your head in, could easily have you mistaken for a dustbin bag.
Bar Chick suggests we seek refuge in speakeasies and the Time Out pack are pushing log fires, red wine and waist widening gastro pubs, however the Night Tales team have come up with an alfresco alternative this autumn.
From Thursday to Saturday, every week until Christmas, the team from Dalston Roof Gardens, will be taking over an East London car park and an underground, WWII bunker.
What’s wet and in their cups then? Well that’s a perfectly good question – they will be serving only the voguest of splashies; Negronis, craft ales and Mezcal for the more gallant of gluggers.
Pleasing the other sensory receptors will be rations supplied by Smokey Tails (Seth Troxlers jaunt), fine patties and buns by who’d have guest it, Patty & Bun and the winners of the Young British Foodies Award BAO. With all of theses edibles of course being floated on a the party line up of; Disco Bloodbath, Bee Shiver, Tayo, and Bad Passion to name but a few.
So stop speaking so easy. Speak slowly and softly in front of their log fire this winter.
Launching: Thursday November 7th
