We fell in love with Moodoïd‘s self-titled EP last year and are very excited to hear that they’ve announced details of their upcoming debut album. Le monde Möö will be released through Enterprise / Sony Red on Monday 1st September 2014.
The 10-track album, produced and mixed by Nicolas Vernhes (Animal Collective, Dirty Projectors and Deerhunter) follows the distinctive Kevin Parker-produced EP that showed off indisputable Tame Impala influences.
Moodoïd is the brainchild of Parisian dreamy psych-pop enthusiast and multitalented musician Pablo Padovani, alongside fellow eclectic instrumentalists including his own father, cult jazz saxophone player Jean-Marc Padovani.
Experimental time signatures paired with fluid melodic arrangements (and a Leslie cabinet or two) plant Le monde Möö in the unpredictable realms of enchanting and absurdist Psychedelia. Check out the video for La Lune below.
