Hallelujah! It seems that summer has truly arrived, and so it is time for Londoners to emerge from their stuffy offices and squash themselves into pub gardens.
Birra Moretti have come up with a better solution, from 19th 24th July the Gran Tour returns at the Old Truman Brewery bringing the best of Italian street food as well as plenty of their new beers from the new ‘Le Regionali’ range.
After a hugely 2015 tour at the brewery, this year looks set to be bigger and better than ever, with 9 different Italian street food vendors showing off the food and flavours from a variety of regions. Street food favourites such as Pizza Pilgrims, Arancini Bros and Le Gelataria will be serving up a range of treats, making sure we have our hit of pizza, pasta and ice cream. The bars will be (very) fully stocked with the four varieties of Moretti – La Authentica, La Rossa and newcomers Birra Moretti alla Siciliana, and Toscana.
A new addition for this year are the masterclasses, with the choice of an education in either Tuscan butchery or pasta making. For the duration of the festival, on the hour, critically acclaimed Forza Win will be teach us how to make a perfect steak from the raw rump to the finished product – all cooked over flames. Brighton’s CinCin will be encouraging us to get messy at their pasta-making masterclass, teaching guests to recreate one of four pasta dishes – each paired with an ice cold Birra Moretti.
