LUCY BEE: Palm oil-free and vegan face cream brightens your complexion – and the awesome natural deodorant is a must-try

I’m not really one to rave about skincare products but after being introduced to Lucy Bee I’m hooked.

The Radiance-Boosting Face Cream does exactly what it says on the pot, and since using it, my spot-prone skin has improved no-end.

It features organically grown and natural ingredients, with no fragrance, alcohol, sulphates, parabens or other nasty things.

What’s more, the packaging is recyclable, with glass and aluminium used in most of the Lucy Bee collection.

The pot of face cream is £35 but this will last you for a couple of months plus, with the thick cream stretching a long way. You only need a few dabs to nourish the skin.

For those who need a bit of blushing up in the winter months, Lucy Bee makes Self-Tanning Drops which give you an instant glow.

The colourless gel-like liquid has no horrible smell like most tanning products and it does not stain. It’s like a magic potion!

On the deodorant front, Lucy Bee’s natural alternative is aluminium free, lightly fragranced, and the cream-to-powder balm melts into skin with ease and with no sticky feeling. Simply applied with a bamboo spatula.

THE LUCY BEE STORY

Lucy, the founder of the skincare brand, reveals how her awesome business came about. She says: ‘I am a CIBTAC Beauty Therapist and have always been interested in not only what I put into my body but also what I put onto it.

‘Working in spas and salons meant I was introduced to many different products and all sorts of ingredients I had never heard of or could pronounce. It made me realise what was actually in a lot of products we use and to question the fact that these were being absorbed into my body, through my skin.

‘I started to create my own products and I loved the fact that I knew exactly what I was putting on my skin and that the products were completely natural. The skincare range followed on from this so that I could share these products and my passion with others.

‘With our emphasis on being ethical and caring for the environment, a major point with developing the skincare range was to make sure that the products would be free from palm oil, including any derivatives of palm oil.

‘This has taken time and perseverance, but I believe in sticking to our values and am so happy that we have finally achieved our goal.

‘All of our beauty products are manufactured in the UK and are certified Vegan, and Cruelty-Free. Additionally, our Soap bars are certified Fair Trade. It’s these ethics that are at the foundation of everything that we do.’
