Kinetica Art Fair 2013 marks the 5th edition of the fair with growing international interest and exhibitor participation from UK, Brazil, Russia, Poland, USA, France, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Germany, Turkey, Indonesia and Israel. The fair in a short number of years has become a landmark event on the Art Fair calendar, and is the only fair of its kind in the UK to provide an international platform for kinetic, electronic and new media art.
Kinetica focuses on a current new trend in art that has a strong historical lineage dating back to the early 1900s. The work essentially makes suggestions and contributions towards human evolution and reaction to scientific and universal exploration. With the fast increasing advancement and development of a scientific and technological culture, many contemporary artists have crossed the plateau from fine art disciplines into new media with artworks that utilise and warp technology to explore, nurture and comment on our evolutionary processes.
