All aboard!
It’s time for brave Londoners to head down to Pedley Street Station and sell their souls for a Journey To The Underworld.
Immersive theatre and dining experts Funicular have prepared a luxury train carriage and are now ready to depart on the greatest love story never told, where fear, fantasy, danger and lust intertwine in a dark and romantic fairytale.
The best part? Down in the Underworld, travellers dine in style.
Passengers will be treated to a delicious four-course menu curated by 2017 MasterChef The Professionals finalist Louisa Ellis.
The culinary maestro has designed a feast fit for all dietary requirements and the dishes have been created to tie in with the theatrical narrative.
With butternut squash volute, black garlic gnocchi and chocolate ganache all on the menu, guests will be dying for more!
Be sure to indulge in the cocktails too offered by the cloaked mixologists at the 7 Sins Platform Bar.
Our favourites included Gluttony – a hedonistic mix of Baileys, vodka and espresso – while the bourbon-infused Lust was a good palate cleanser.
On the theatrical front, the shackled conductor has made his final checks and the diabolical driver has started the engines; this train is ready to depart.
A cast member makes their call for passengers looking for danger, delirium and delicious food as they join the gatekeeper, harbinger, and Dark One on a voyage into the depths of the Underworld – and hopefully back to the land of the living again!
Expect a heady combination of lust, greed and tortured romance all in one go!
The four course menu adds a little gluttony into the mix.
The evening certainly makes a change from your average dinner out and it’s one of Furnicular’s best productions yet.
The train carriage booths are perfect for hosting a group of friends or you can make new friends during the course of the evening.
Funicular is run by a collective of creators specialising in creating truly immersive experiences.
Co-founded by entrepreneur, actor and scriptwriter Craig Wilkinson and production director Ed Borgnis, the Funicular team boasts years of experience bringing events and theatre to life all over the world.
Their first experience within Pedley Street Station The Murdér Express, an immersive twist on a murder mystery set in the early 20th Century, saw sold out shows and rave reviews.
So snap up a ticket and settle in for a pretty wild ride!
