London welcomes the sister restaurant of legendary New York institution Balthazar this spring. Perhaps you remember the episode in the final season of 'Sex and the City' when Carrie and Samantha try to blag their way into the restaurant and Samantha explains to the stone faced girl at the door that they both 'are kind of somebody'. What it took in the end, was for Carrie to give the receptionist (apparently the most powerful woman in town) an emergency tampon in the bathroom, but it goes to show how exclusive the restaurant is.
