GIZZI ERSKINE’S #TWISTEDCHRISTMAS: Yuletide feast at Hawker House night market

On Saturday 14th December Hawker House, the indoor night market from street food pioneers Street Feast, will be serving up a yuletide feast with Gizzi Erskine’s #TwistedChristmas.

Running over two sessions at Hawker House, a converted warehouse sandwiched between Broadway Market and Hackney Road, the event will be offering up festive and offbeat twists on all your favourite street foods traders, including B.O.B.’s Lobster, Breddos Tacos, Luardos, Rola Wala, Slider Bar, SmokeStak, Sorbitium and Yum Bun.

But there’s a lot more to #TwistedChristmas than delicious street food. Gizzi’s lined up go go girls The Meyer Dancers, a transvestite choir, a Christmas Gift Shop (hawking homemade stocking fillers from top London chefs), a meat raffle from Turner & George, a Rumbola for all your Christmas booze needs, burlesque performances from Fancy Chance, top DJs and a gang of drag queen Santas. Plus loads more.

Tickets to the day session (noon til 5pm) are £10 each, which includes a glass of fizz from Street Vin. The longer, rowdier evening session (6pm-2am) will cost you a fiver more and includes a glass of fizz and a hot cocktail/hot wine.

Eventbrite is getting in on the Christmas spirit by waiving their booking fee specially for the event, so instead a donation of £1 from every ticket purchased will go to Street Smart, an organisation which raises hundreds of thousands of pounds each year for homeless charities across the UK.
