With all this talk of bigger and lower fat birds (that wear tinsel boas) the humble chicken could have easily taken a back seat this season. Yet still plucky as ever, this bird hasn’t been forgotten at Chicken Shop Holborn.
Lovingly basted with some sort of heaven and then gently kissed by the devilish flames of hell (the rotisserie oven) these chickens spend their evenings seductively swinging round the rotisserie pole.
Chose your unworldly bird by fractions: full (£15), half (£8.50) or quarter (£4.50), and shred these portions with your chicken loving comrades.
The menu also lists some spot hitting sides, which include a butter and avocado salad, a dressed corn on the cob, a huge pot of crunchy slaw (big enough for about 6) and classic crinkle cut fries.
Capping off the chompathon, they will prompt you to try one of their classic American deserts; a deep filled apple pie, a lemon cheesecake or a warm chocolate brownie.
Chicken Shop are making sure turkeys don’t steal the limelight this season.
